Like many of you, I would watch the Dyson vacuum
commercials and dream of owning one. However, reality is, I don’t want to have
to take out a loan to purchase one. Really, they are that expensive.
Then the day came where Shark vacuum was compared to a
Dyson. Same great vacuum features for a lot less. I couldn’t wait for my old
vacuum to die so I could have an excuse to purchase a Shark. Well, my old
vacuum hasn’t died, but fortunately, I had a birthday coming up. So guess what?
My husband agreed to let me purchase one. However, as money conscious as I am,
I still couldn’t bring myself to pay more for a Shark, than I would on a
traditional vacuum cleaner.
Amazingly, once I started researching, I realized the
cost wasn’t so bad. I settled for the Shark NV70 Navigator DLX. Since it was a
discontinued model, the price had been greatly reduced.
I will reccomend you to check Amazon for the best current Shark prices HERE.
While you are at Amazon, pay attention to how high buyers are rating Shark!!
I did compare it to the updated Lift-Away version, but realized the only difference was in the Lift-Away canister. I thought to myself, well, I don’t have stairs, so really I don’t need to spend the extra money.
So here I am now with my Shark NV70 Navigator DLX and
couldn’t be any happier. I was concerned over one feature which I over
looked. The Shark has 10 amps compared to my old vacuum which had 12. So I
was a bit concerned about the power. Well, I don’t notice any difference with
the power, but I do with the suction. My Shark has a much better suction than
my old vacuum. Besides the better suction with my Shark, below are some of the
features I love about my Shark.
With my old vacuum, I couldn’t leave it standing while
running since the brush roller would continue. However, with my Shark, that is
no longer a problem. If I need to stop to move a piece of furniture, I could
safely stand the vacuum while running since the roller brush will only operate
while the handle is lowered into a vacuum position. Secondly, I just love that
swivel technology. It is so easy to maneuver especially in tight areas. Now
this is where I made my mistake by not purchasing the Lift-Away version. Since my Shark will not vacuum without the extra-large dust canister in place, I cannot vacuum under furniture. With the Lift-Away version, simply remove the canister and you
are left with a slender vacuum for getting under furniture. So I hope you will
learn from my mistake.
Now the vacuum supposedly has a life time belt and comes
with a 5 year warranty, so let’s see how that goes. In the long run, if my
Shark doesn’t last the 5 years, I won’t be to disappointed since I got such a
great deal on this discontinued model.
So click here and go and get yourself a Shark!
